Monique Shaw has taught interior design and home staging on television in Calgary, enabling clients to decorate or stage their homes with ease. She is also the author of the design and home staging book ‘How To Style Or Stage Your Home For More Beauty Or A Quicker Sale’. Monique trained in interior design in London, England and is also a Certified Staging Professional. She has staged showhomes and spec homes for both large and small builders alike. When you book with Monique Shaw Lux Interiors, we start with a telephone conversation or email to discover your needs. We find out what you are looking to achieve, your ultimate design goals, and your requirements. Then, a 2-hour consultation is booked, during which time we spend the first hour briefly getting to know each other better. Following this brief chat, we then tour your space, and together we collaborate to turn your vision into a plan.
In the second hour, we spend time together finding the design elements that you are looking for. This in itself saves both the designer and the homeowner valuable time and money, and, reduces frustration and ‘forecasting’ what you may or may not need. At the end of the second hour, you have concrete ideas, a design plan, and know how to access what you seek. If after that you still need more design time or would like us to install what you have chosen, we can then book blocks of time to achieve this for you. We can also offer you a shopping service, where we go to suppliers to find what you need, and this is charged on an hourly basis thereafter.
