Calgary Interior Designers and Home Stagers Homes Beautifully Support Homefront Charity And Gala

Last week, Homes Beautifully Calgary Interior Design and Home Staging were pleased to attend the Fashion Forward charity gala in support of Home Front.
Homefront’s mission is to ‘Create a safe community by eliminating domestic violence through direct client services, justice coordination and facilitated community action’. Fashion Forward ‘are a group of philanthropic Calgary women who share a love of fashion and the drive to create change in the world. While remaining true to our primary goal of shining a spot light on making a difference in our local community, we are driven to unite the people of Calgary together to promote awareness and create change’.
On September 21, Homes Beautifully supported Homefront as a silent auction donor, and gifted an interior design consultation to help raise funds. It was a beautiful evening at Lone Star Mercedes Benz, and there were so many out in support of this amazing event from both the design and fashion communities. It was a fun night out with a live auction, beautiful outfits, delicious hors d’oeuvres and a lot of smiles. The sudden onslaught of snow flurries mid-way through the fashion show could not dampen the mood of the evening and the fashion on the runway was spectacular, one viewer commenting that the outfits and theme had a feel of ‘Blade Runner’ about it. There were several personalities out that evening including Shiva Jahanshaw of Style In The City, Jill Belland from BarreBelle, The Style Guys and W. Brett Wilson.

Homefront is a charity that we feel happy to support, as domestic violence support is vital in Calgary, as many sufferers often blame themselves and do not feel confident is getting help or leaving their situations. Homefront gives those affected by domestic abuse the support they need.
Their ‘Domestic Violence Intervention and Resource Team (DVIRT) works to support victims in incidents where charges have been laid and the case is entering into the justice system. DVIRT works alongside Child and Family Services, Crown, Calgary Police Service, defense counsel and probation officers to support victims through the criminal court process.
